Dave Epstein

David Epstein professional Emergency Manager and military CBRN officer, served in many capacities over his 30-plus years. Most of his time was spent at the Pentagon, as the Air Force and DOD Emergency manager, overseeing and equipping 1800 certified Emergency managers worldwide.

He worked on the National Incident Management System team to create Post 9/11 standards which reshaped Policy, Doctrine, Training, Exercise and Response. Led the Nuclear Weapons Accident Incident Exercise program for several years across the spectrum creating new standards at home and overseas working with NATO partners.

While he has stepped down from government capacity, he brings his network, knowledge, skills and passion to continue shaping peers at all levels, within the CBRN and Emergency Management field.

David Epstein's Role in Emergency Management:

  • David Epstein has held positions related to emergency management, particularly within the Air Force. Notably, he served as the Emergency Management Director for the 482d Fighter Wing.
  • He also worked as an Air Force Emergency Manager.
  • Epstein has been involved in exercises and collaborations with other agencies like FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) and DLA (Defense Logistics Agency).
